2020/2021 Admission letters for all UEW applicants are ready but on hold- Listengh.net


The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the Institute of Education, Winneba has responded to the sentiments shared by applicants of the 2020/2021 academic year.
Individuals who applied to the institution are currently in a state of dilemma whether admissions will take effect this very year or next year.

However, a statement signed by the SRC president of the university indicates that admission letters for all applicants admitted by the university for the 2020/2021 academic year are ready but on hold because of the Academic calendar which includes the official reporting date for freshers pending approval by the government.

The statement further indicates that, “the Academic Board upon request by government through the Ministry of Education has submitted the Academic Calendar for the 2020/2021 academic year that automatically includes the date of reopening to the government for its consideration and subsequent approval.
Due to the reason stated above, the entire student community should keep their fingers crossed in total calmness and exercise a great level of restraint as we all wait patiently for the government to authenticate the Academic Calendar that has been submitted by the authorities of our noble university”.

“Continuing students are advised to make all the necessary preparations needed for the upcoming Academic year so that they are not taken by surprises when the greenlight is given for the commencement of the 2020/2021 academic year. School Fees for the 2020/2021 academic year is yet to be released, the council therefore entreats all students and various stakeholders to kindly disregard any concorted figures making waves on social media platforms purported to be the official fees for the 2020/2021 academic year as students shall be duly informed when the official fees is out. All issues regarding level 400 Internship and industrial programme will be addressed in the Academic Calendar yet to be released”, the statement captured.

According to the statement, the council however commended the entire student body the university for their steadfastness exhibited towards the all the stipulated protocols in the fight against the novel coronavirus and asked all students to stay safe.


  1. Please I have been able to register my elective and study center but haven’t received my registration number and code yet for me to get access to online and elearning portal. Please help me
