Information reaching listengh.net indicates that there was a delay in the process of declaration of vacancies in the various Senior high Schools( SHS). This has however triggered the delay in the submission of data to the Ghana Education Service(GES) headquarters.
According to the information, the appointment letters for University graduates will be released in the middle of January 2021. This is to ensure fair distribution of newly recruited teachers to fill those vacancies.
The management of the Ghana Education Service initially planned to release postings before the end of December 2020 but some school administrations notified the headquarters about the choked of teachers in their schools. Due to this circumstance, GES has commenced the whole process afresh in order to post qualified graduates to locations and schools where their services are needed.
“However, GES has decided to post Diploma in Basic Education (DBE) holders who also applied during the application process to enable them to fill vacancies where the Colleges of Education (CoE) graduates could not occupy, which initially GES would not have considered them for if the postings were released at the end of this month. GES wishes to put a smile on the faces of all qualified applicants, hence the delay in postings. Delay is not denial, so exercise some kind of patience”, the source added.
