 5. WHAT IS SPECIAL POSTING, DIRECT POSTINGS OR REPOSTING?

Special posting is the same as direct posting. It is a term mostly used by students. And this is done every year. It is the surest way you can be posted to your school of choice.

So, when postings are released, these students are posted directly to the schools they sought from the NSS officer. This is what we call direct or special posting.

Some prospective personnel do not also seek help from anyone to be posted to their preferred organisations but when postings are released and do not like the places they have been posted to, they seek assistance to change to a preferred organisation. This is what we call reposting.

6. CAN NSS POST ME TO ANY SCHOOL OF MY CHOICE?

During online registration, you are only required to choose three different regions. There is no such provision on the online portal for you to choose a district or even the name of a school. You can only get posted to an organisation of choice if you know someone in NSS or you do special posting. With that your preference is guaranteed.
