The Ghana Education Service (GES) has disclosed that only 494,530 out of the 533,693 candidates who registered for the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) have been placed in the various Senior High Schools and Technical and Vocational Education and Training Schools (TVETS) across the country.
In a press release dated 26th February 2021, the service indicated that a total number of 343, 264 candidates have automatically been placed in one of their choices. However, 151,266 candidates who are qualified could not match with any of their choices hence the need to do self-placement to select from available schools with vacancies.
