The management of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), college of distance education has reopened its scholarship application portal for students to apply.
According to a press release endorsed by the Assistant Registrar cum Financial Support Administrator, Alfred Ghartey, it indicated that the Students’ Financial Support Office established under the Office of the Vice-Chancellor is accepting applications from suitable and qualified needy but brilliant/promising distance students of the University of Cape Coast for the award of the scholarship for the 2020/2021 academic year.
The university had however laid down some requirements that need to be met before one can qualify to apply.
To qualify and/or be eligible for the Scholarship, a student must meet the following requirements;
- Must be a Ghanaian by birth
- Must have completed at least one academic year of studies
- Be able to demonstrate financial need and must be ready to supply any documentary evidence for
- Must have CGPA of 2.5 and above

Applicants are urged to attach all required supporting documents to the application.
Prospective applicants are to note that the application process commences on Monday, 15th February 2021, and ends on Friday, 26th February 2021 at 5:00 pm.
According to the statement released, only shortisted applicants will be invited for interview.
