The Ministry of Finance and the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) announce that biometric registration of newly employed and approved government workers, much especially newly trained teachers, will take place in the first quarter of the year.
The biometric registration for the newly trained teacher recruited in November 2020 was suspended due to novel virus and as result, this measure was initiated by the government in order to contain the pandemic.
The Finance Ministry will however slate dates for the registration to commence after newly posted staff have received their staff IDs.
It is therefore for Newly trained posted teachers to take note of the requirement needed for the exercise.
REQUIREMENTS/THINGS NEEDED FOR THE REGISTRATION
- Appointment letter
- Employment Form (From the office)
- Assumption of duty letter ( From the headteacher)
- Biometric SSNIT ID card or number
- Birth Certificate/Baptismal card
- Bank Account details (It can either be a current or savings account)
Meanwhile, candidates are required ready the following PPE such as nose or face mask, hand sanitizers, and also ensure strict physical distancing to help flatten the pandemic curve during the said period.
