GNACOPS set to organize common core programme training for second cohorts of teachers

The Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS), in collaboration with the Pre-Tertiary Directorate (MoE) through the support of the National Teaching Council (NTC) and National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) is set to organize training on the Common Core Program (CCP) for all Private School teachers across the country. The training of the second cohorts will take place from Wednesday 3rd to Sunday 7th February 2021.

According to a statement issued by the GNACOPS, the said training is to cater for JHS 1 to SHS 1 teachers nationwide. All schools have to pre-register their staff online, through this NTC link, http://bit.ly/3pH8eOb to attend the training.

The National Teaching Council, NTC, in collaboration with GNACOPS would issue certificates for participation to teachers who will successfully complete the training.

NTC has opened its Teachers Portal for GNACOPS, where each teacher who participates in the CCP training would be registered and scored CPD points for licensing.

According to the previous release endorsed by the Human Resouce Manager of GNACOPS, Prince Kweku Entsie indicated that GNACOPS is the only private education body that has been mandated by the Ministry of Education through NaCCA to train private school teachers for appropriate certification. Any private school teacher who decides not to take part does so at his/her own peril. The CCP training, which would last for five days would for every region, starts from a Wednesday to Sunday.
