The Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) has provided relief to some private schools in the South Dayi District in the Volta Region.
According to GNACOPS, on Tuesday 2nd February 2021, the Ghana National Council of private schools donated “My First Day at School” materials to Peki private school operators.
The version is to support the low fee private schools in the district to be able to welcome children to school with this ten-month of school closure.
The council indicated that it is their sole responsibility to support schools in difficult times like this to enhance the smooth running of activities in the school.
“It is the responsibility of the Council to support all private schools more importantly the 70% third-tier schools that provide a very significant role in educational delivery in Ghana”, the council stated.
The council has disclosed that the support of the materials came from UNICEF, plan Ghana and Pre-Tertiary directorate at the Ministry of Education.
