The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) after a long pandemic break will still distribute end of year packages to its members as it is usually done. The union is well known for distributing diaries and calendars to teachers annually.
However, the union distributed hand sanitizers and nose masks to all its members who teach at the Junior High School (JHS) level during the partial reopening of schools to enable teachers to protect themselves from the novel virus.
Meanwhile, all teachers are set to receive end-of-year packages for the year 2020 hence the need for members to disregard news making rounds that GNAT will not provide packages due to the pandemic. CLICK HERE TO SEE THE SCHEDULE FOR CONFERENCES AND FILE FOR NOMINATION
Information gathered by Listengh.net indicates that the leadership of the union is set to distribute T-Shirts as packages for the year 2020. In an interview with a GNAT local executive, he indicated that the package will be ready by the end of February. However, the union has as well as declared vacancies at the local level hence individuals who have an interest in becoming a local GNAT executive should see his/her local executive pick up application forms.
