Many teachers across the country have expressed disappointment towards the Ghana Education Service (GES) for disqualifying applicants from the upcoming exams.
The Ghana Education Service late in 2020 opened an application portal for individuals seeking to be at the ranks of Principal Superintendent (PS), Assistant Director I(ADI), Deputy Director (DD), and Assistant Director (II) to apply. Meanwhile, statements shared with listengh.net indicate that many of the applications have been rejected by the service without any clarification.
According to information made available to our news team, the majority of individuals who applied within the first week of the reopening of the portal are those being affected.
Besides, teachers who didn’t receive their index numbers and their examination centres were directed to go to their district education offices for assistance. Teachers have been left stranded because no assistance seems to be coming from their district offices.
With few days left for the exam to kickstart, the affected teachers and GES staff are calling on the various teacher unions and the Ghana Education Service as a whole to rectify the said anomaly to enable them to partake in the upcoming promotion test.
