The Registrar of the National Teaching Council (NTC), Dr. Christian Addai-Poku has finally confirmed when in-service teachers will receive their license. In a radio interview on Peace FM’s morning show monitored by Listengh.net, the registrar indicated that teachers will be given their licensure exams next year, January.

Being interviewed on the theme, “pre-tertiary education reforms and the impact on improved learning outcomes”, Dr. Addai-Poku revealed that the programme is being piloted in some districts and would be rolled out nationwide upon successful completion of the piloting.
He also urged all individuals who have been given the provisional licensure certificate to visit the National Teaching Council teachers’ portal to register. In his explanation, he indicated that this move was necessary because they will base on the data on the portal to distribute the original certificate. to enable to enhance the distribution of the original certificate.
He however confirmed that in-service teachers will not write any licensure exam before being given license to teach.
