The management of the University of Cape coast has earlier this morning release a statement cautioning all students who have received admission messages to be wary of fraudsters who are promising to provide reference numbers after payment of some amount of money.
According to the statement, the institue has not contracted anyone to to performe any service of generating and sending registration messages on its behalf.
Additionally, from the observation of listengh.net’s news team, some unscrupulous persons have started sending messages to individuals who have received admission into the UCC semester programme to make payment of their admission fee via mobile money. We are urging the general public to ignore this kind of message when received.
The statement released by the management of UCC embeds the underneath message:
It has come to the attention of the University that some unscrupulous persons are sending messages (both audio and text) to unsuspecting applicants to the University of Cape Coast that they can help them to get their registration numbers.
We wish to inform all applicants that the University has not
contracted anyone to perform any service of generating
and sending registration numbers on its behalf.
