The management of the University of Cape Coast has rescheduled the academic activities for all its sandwich students. The statement signed by the Director of the School of Development and Educational Outreach, Prof. Christine Adu-Yeboah indicates that lecturers are expected to give an assignment as part of the continuous assessment before the quiz. However, the statements instruct lecturers to assess students over 20.
The rescheduling of academic activities became necessary when the institute could not meet its deadline for admitting students into the programme. According to Listengh.net sources, the programme faced a lot of challenges such as the inability of students to access their online learning portals, admission fees being paid by students did not reflect on time to enable them to select their study centres and electives, et al. Due to these numerous challenges had led the institute to alter the academic activities.
The circumstance above is not different from that of the 4 and 5 semester sandwich students.
According to the new schedule, end of session exams will not be written. However, students are to note that quizzes will be written before ending the session.
