The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) initially indicated to the general public that Population and Housing Census for 2021 would have come off between the month of April and May.
The latest information reaching listengh.net indicates that the Census will come off in May/June and not April/May as stated earlier.
This is due to the circumstance that there were some delays in the training of officials. National trainers will start their face-to-face training on the 18th of March, 2021 at Winneba for 10 days.
However, training of field officers (Enumerators and Supervisors) will commence after training regional trainers.
It is expected that field officials will or may start their training in April/May 2021.
The Ghana Statistical Service is therefore urging all applicants of the Population and Housing Census (PHC) to stay calm as it is assured that the census will come off this year.
