The Institute of Education, Cape Coast is mandated to enhance the teaching competence of teachers who are already in the profession hence the introduction of a three-semester top-up sandwich programme for all in-service teachers and all Diploma in Basic Education Holders.
The university came into agreement with the Ghana National Association of Teachers and some major stakeholders in the education sector.
Though there have been a lot of challenges throughout the application processes of the programme but it seems things are getting better now.
On the positive side, the institute on Wednesday released the list of successful applicants.

After you find your name in the admission list, you will need A REFERENCE NUMBER to print your admission letter.
I HAVE NOT RECEIVE MY REFERENCE NUMBER YET, WHAT DO I DO?
Applicants who have not received their reference number yet should kindly hold on for a while. The messages are being sent on daily basis therefore, they will receive theirs as far as they have their names on the admission list.
HOW DO I GET THE REFERENCE NUMBER?
Admitted applicants are to note that a reference number is a unique number given to every individual to enable you to print out your admission letter.
The reference number will be sent to you by the University of Cape coast in a form of a text message (SMS). It will be sent to you via the phone number you provided during the registration process so I will vividly advise all persons to keep monitoring the number that was used for the application reference number.
Also, applicants are to note that, if you provided the wrong number, you will not receive the said message likewise those who have misplaced their number that was used. Proceed to print your admission letter after you receive the reference number.
