The management of the Institute of Education, University of Education, Winneba has come clear on the brouhaha surrounding the 2020/2021 admissions. A statement cited by Listengh.net indicates that the university will soon release the admission list of successful applicants. The source continuous to add that, the general public should disregard all speculations making waves that admissions will start in January 2021. Therefore, the institute has slated to begin admissions processes in November 2020. This is mainly to take place in the first week of the said month, thus, the first week of November 2020.
The university is therefore urging all its applicants to hold on and exercise patience as they engage the government on the necessary modalities needed to commence next academic year.
However, the management wishes to inform all applicants that admissions are ready for release pending needed deliberations. It furtherly assured all the general public that all qualified applicants would hear from them in November.
ERRORS IN APPLICATION BY SOME APPLICANTS
The source continued to add that, “some few applicants mistakenly applied as Direct/Post-Diploma instead of mature and this has to deal with sorting. Such people would soon be contacted to correct the anomalies and if possible, to complete the necessary conditions required to be offered a chance to write the entrance examination.
Meanwhile, those who could not take part in the entrance exams due to unforeseen circumstances would be given a second chance.
THOSE WHO COULD NOT MEET THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
“Applicants who could not meet the entry requirements would be considered in other options or Programmes in which they may qualify. However, the university would not be left with any other option if the applicants do not qualify for any of the Programmes offered by the university than to deny you admission”, the statement added.
The management of the university, however, advised the general public to beware of the activities of unscrupulous persons who claim to be intermediaries for admissions processes and as a result dupe people of their monies.
