A statement released by some concerned University graduates which was sighted by listengh.net indicates that the said graduates are organizing to stage a demo to express their displeasure to the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Ministry of Education (MOE) for the refusal to release postings.
The group however alleged that the GES On the 2nd November 2020 the GES posted a letter on their social media handle (Facebook) indicating the recruitment of University Graduate Teachers.
Before the release of the letter, the Educational Minister and other major staff like the Educational Director granted interviews from the media indicating when the postings of the University Graduate Teachers will be released. They made it clear that the postings of the University Graduate Teachers will be released before the 31st of December, 2020. But as of today, it hasn’t happened.
“The GES has turned blind eyes to what they said they were going to do and they can’t even tell anyone why.
Not even a statement to explain the delay of the postings. Nothing. This has kept a lot of University Graduate Teachers in suspense and they are planning to protest against what they believe to be a plot of deceit. They believe the whole recruitment process was a pilot employed by the ministry of education for them to be voted for. Communicating with many University Graduate
Teachers, believe that the only language our leaders understand is “demonstration and protest” and they are ready to haunt the ministry with it as they are not ready to do the right thing”, the statement added.
